The Defense POW/MIA Accounting Agency Forensic Identification Lab located on the Joint Base Pearl Harbor-Hickam in Hawaii was awarded the Excellence in Safety Award in 2016 by Engineering News-Record California.
The state of the art $69 million facility was built for the purpose of identifying the remains of fallen soldiers who were deemed “MIA” or “missing in action.
