May 2010 — Nan, Inc., along with its four joint venture partners, received a Design-Build Multiple Award Construction Contract (Mega MACC), awarded by NAVFAC Pacific, the Department of Defense’s executive agent for construction on Guam.
The Mega MACC, with its $4 billion capacity, represents a profound milestone in Nan, Inc.’s expansion beyond Hawaii and into the the Pacific and world construction markets. The scope of work for the the multiple, fixed-price contracts includes a broad range of new construction, repair, renovation, and design-build projects. The resultant buildings and construction will provide accommodations for some 8,000 marines and their dependents who are being relocated from Okinawa to Guam.
To become one of just seven companies to receive the Mega MACC, Nan, Inc. partnered with four other industry leaders — Caddell Construction Co., Inc. of Montgomery, Alabama; Manson Construction Co. of Seattle, Washington; Samsung Texas Construction, Inc. of Austin, Texas; and LS3P Associates Ltd. of the Carolinas — to form CNMS Joint Venture.
