LOCATION: Kalaeloa, HI
CONTRACT VALUE: $120M

The construction of the Daniel Kahikina Akaka Department of Veterans Affairs (“VA”) Community-Based Outpatient Clinic in Kalaeloa, HI was completed in December 2023. As the selected contractor, Nan, Inc. teamed up with Hunt Development Group, Hawaii, the awarded developer, to work on this $120 million contract. This project involves the construction of a 90,000-square foot outpatient facility that will offer primary and mental health care, laboratory and diagnostic services, specialty care, x-ray, and a pharmacy for 87,000+ veterans residing on Oahu, as well as serve and support veterans throughout the State of Hawaii and the Pacific region.

This VA clinic was built in honor of the late Senator Daniel Akaka, who acted as Chair of the Senate Committee of Veterans Affairs and was a strong advocate on behalf of veterans in Hawaii. Senator Akaka desired that Hawaii’s veterans have local accessibility to receive resources for the care, support, and services they need and deserve. Nan, Inc. is honored to have the opportunity to build this multi-specialty campus that will address the growing demands for veteran medical services on the island.
